Johnny O’Hara, known to his family and friends as “Johnny O” is now Johnnyonacoustic. He is a resident of Doylestown PA and Sea Isle City NJ. He grew up in West Oak Lane Philadelphia and at 8 years young he studied drums and percussion with John Zappacosta, a respected musician in the Philadelphia area. He has devoted the past 5 years perfecting a unique, nuanced, and powerful solo acoustic guitar experience that brings the audience together. At the  age of 21 he was studying under jazz guitar and theory under Ed Flannigan, PhD, Associate Dean of Students of Boyer College of Music and Dance at Temple University. Ed gave John the best life and music lessons one could ever ask for.  As a result, Johnny has become a versatile singer and guitar player who loves to bring his acoustic sound to music lovers. Over the years, he has been influenced with the great rhythm guitar players and singers from John Lennon to Bruce Springsteen. The latest iteration of Johnny’s act reflects the sum of all those influences.  Johnny plays at local venues and is available for wedding cocktail hours, house parties, club appearances and teaches students wanting to perfect their love of the guitar.
